While it is possible to use any streaming...Howard,
While it is possible to use any streaming service in a low bandwidth mode (less resolution more buffering) I understand your issue. The plan I implemented (from the article) doesn't really use streaming video from the internet. It simply replace carrying DVDs, VHS Tapes and the like. I can convert (lots of free software to that for all platforms!) to a digital file and play it back from any convenient USB device or memory card with my player.

Since I boondock almost exclusively, I really only have my USB 3G Wireless card. It's really not fast enough to stream at any decent quality, but I can download all sorts of content and then play it back later on. Of course, I have an unlimited data plan...maybe not forever...but still working now! So I use what I use.

After that ends, I'll just get my content at home and then convert for watching while travelling.

Rich "The Wanderman"The Wandermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12111895389728923307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2154511856319682113.post-55489518461631280422012-06-30T16:41:41.946-07:002012-06-30T16:41:41.946-07:00I do not quite understand about all the talk of us...I do not quite understand about all the talk of using hulu or netflex and "streaming" videos... My bandwith on my I phone would run out about a mile into the movie for the whole month and I have a 5G bandwith. Also campgrounds don't usually have enough bandwith and it is becoming a problem if one camper uses their wi-fi and then the internet is not usable for others to check their e-mail etc.Howardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05297360541124786303noreply@blogger.com
